Our dearest Sylis,
Mommy, Daddy, Emmy, and Phoenix were so thrilled and excited to have you as our son and brother. But God had different plans.
We couldn’t wait to welcome you into our world next Thanksgiving and share our lives with you. But God had different plans.
When we find it difficult to understand and start to question our faith in God, please whisper in our ears, "God had different plans."
When we find it difficult to stop sulking because we are selfish and want you here with us, please use your petite hands, wipe away our tears, and whisper gently, "I am in a better place."
When we find it difficult to find the strength to get up, please use your strong arms, lift us up, and whisper, "I am in a better place."
When we feel like our hearts are eternally broken, and we can’t move on, please place your mighty hands on our hearts and whisper, "I am Home."
Sylis, you are now a child of God and I ask for you to watch over our family and remind us how blessed we are each day. Your soul will forever be in our presence, your footprints permanently engraved in our hearts.
We will hold you again in Heaven, our son and our brother.
